AURORA skycam offers a unique combination of digital photography services (Aurora camera network / Arctic adventure tours / Media and content from arctic environments) and cutting-edge photo technology products (Remote control systems for DSLR cameras for mobile and stationary use cases / Photo-to-TV presentation solutions)

World’s first AURORA skycam is placed on Senja in northern Norway. Specifically Slåttebakken Farm, where auroral conditions are fantastic. From the farm situated high, there is a 360 degree visibility and minimal light pollution.

Anders Hanssen, Norwegian Canon professional and photographer for www.andershanssen.com and Guido Sobbe, CEO of the German technology company imagox have together developed the concept through their common interest for phototography, technology and Northern lights.

The uniqueness of the concept is color detection and alarm system located in the background software. The software detects changes in colors of the sky and the parameters can be controlled remotely.

– The alarm will notify on the direction where the northernlight is coming from at the moment this actually happens.

This will change how livecam experiences and streams are experienced.
