Jacobs University Football Team

Jacobs University has a long tradition of football. In the fall of 2008, the team participated in the Kreisklasse III League going on to win the league and gaining promotion to the Kreisklasse II league. Both leagues comprise teams from in and around Bremen with games being played every Sunday afternoon. In summer 2011, the team managed to get promoted again to Kreisklasse I and in summer 2012 to Kreisliga C.

The home ground of the football team used to be the famous Vegesacker Stadion, a newly constructed artificial grass pitch located a short bus ride from campus (across the bus station in front of Havenhöövt). Since the beginning of the season 2013/14 the team plays their home games on the Jacobs University campus. We would love to welcome you at the pitch and see your support!
