Kunstmuseum Bonn

Mit einer der international wichtigsten Sammlungen zur deutschen Kunst nach 1945 verfügt das Kunstmuseum Bonn über ein bundesweit einmaliges Sammlungsprofil. Dazu befindet sich die wohl größte Sammlung zu August Macke und den Rheinischen Expressionisten im Kunstmuseum sowie ein umfangreicher Bestand an Multiples von Joseph Beuys, die Grafische Sammlung, Fotografie und Videozentrum.
Rund ein Dutzend internationale Wechselausstellungen pro Jahr ergänzen auf einer Ausstellungsfläche von insgesamt 5000 m² die stets neu präsentierten Sammlungen.

With one of the internationally most important collections of German art after 1945 Kunstmuseum Bonn’s collection profile is unique throughout the FRG. The museum owns the most comprehensive collection of art by August Macke and the Rhenish Expressionists as well as a great number of Joseph Beuys’s Multiples, complemented by extensive collections of graphic prints, photographs and videos.
In addition to the presentation of the museum’s collections, about one dozen temporary exhibitions take place each year on an area of more than 5,000 square meters.
