Consistent growth over the last 18 years enabled us to move into our new, purpose-built premises at the end of 2013. Our 7000m² site has afforded us the opportunity to expand our stocks significantly and to further improve our efficiency so that we are able to serve our customers even better.

State-of-the-art offices, warehousing and IT systems gives us the opportunity to expand our business and deal with all enquiries and orders in an efficient manner. As we stock just about all parts required for maintenance on Pielstick engines, we can pack and dispatch same-day for those urgent cases.

In 2012 our position in the market gave us the opportunity to negotiate with Rolls Royce for the purchase of their entire Pielstick inventory, some €8 million. As they could no longer operate in this market we were the company they turned to in order that they could exit the market. Our puchase of their inventory in 2012 gave us the opportunity to now deal direct with their customer base and to offer the technical expertise that their customers in power plants, merchant vessels, oil rigs and Navies demand.

In 2016 we made the decision to apply our knowledge and expertise to another engine range, namely the MAN 48/60. We received frequent enquiries from our current customer base were looking for a reliable source of spares suitable for their MAN 48/60 engines. So we have spent many month organising the supply chain so we can be certain to offer only the best parts available and suitable for your MAN 48/60 engine.

We only specialise in Pielstick and MAN 48/60. This is critical when comparing us to anyone else. We know our business. We know our customers. We know our parts.

We have learnt over the last 18 years that as ships change owners, personnel on board changes and the Pielstick engines are getting older. These all leads to a dilution of knowledge and expertise.
Historically, our single focus on only the Pielstick engines has enabled us to accumulate knowledge over the years that we are only too happy to share with our customers so that the engines can run efficiently and trouble-free.

Our customer base is, genuinely, world-wide. From long-standing customers in New Zealand, to fishing vessels in Eastern Russia and the Bering Sea, to oil-rigs in Brazil, Cruise ships in the USA, Greek ferry companies, RoRo vessels in the North and Baltic sea's and power plants through Germany, South Asia, South America, the Caribean and the remotest Pacific Islands and atols. Our spare parts can be found and trusted in all corners of the globe from all users of Pielstick nd MAN 48/60 engines.

In 2011 we started a new company, MD Trade Power GmbH & Co. KG, to focus specifically on our land based power generation customers with Pielstick and MAN 48/60 engines and so MD Trade & Spares GmbH now concentrates solely on the marine customers. More details can be found at www.mdpower.de.
