Horror-Event: Prison of Terror in Bad Säckingen

Vom 26. bis zum 28. April suchen Untote und Zombies das über 100 Jahre alte Gemäuer des „Alten Gefängnis“ in Bad Säckingen heim. Auf mehreren Stockwerken und dem großen Innenhof erwarten den Besucher aufregende Horror-Attraktionen. Am 27. April gibt es für die Kleinen das Kindergruseln. An den DJ-Decks jeweils ab 22 Uhr am Freitag, den 26. April „The Club Monkeys ( http://www.theclubmonkeys.de/ ), am Samstag, den 27. April DJ Nick Rivers ( http://www.nick-entertainment.de/ ) und Sonntag, den 28. April „Children of the Night“.

Mehr als 50 ehrenamtliche Horror-Darsteller aus ganz Deutschland lehren den Besuchern in zwei Mazes – „Hell’s Cells“ und „Dark Circle“ – im normalerweise Kinder- und Jugendhaus - ab 19:00 Uhr das Fürchten. Auf der Freifläche, dem „Playground“, treiben Zombies ihr Unwesen und machen Jagd auf ihre heiß geliebten Gehirne. In der „Zombielounge“ kann man sich dann bei der After-Horror-Party ab 21 Uhr bis 00:30 Uhr erholen und zu heißen DJ-Beats von den Club Monkeys (Freitag), DJ Nick Rivers (Samstag) und den „Children of the Night“ (Sonntag) tanzen und feiern.

Kinder-Horror am Samstagnachmittag

Für die kleinsten Horror-Fans gibt es am Samstagnachmittag das Kindergruseln. Jugendfreie Zombies und Trolle treiben dann von 14:00 bis 18:00Uhr ihr „Süßes-sonst-gibt’s-Saures-Spiel“ mit den Kleinen. Weitere Angebote für Kids: Kinderschminken und Grusel-Flashmob-Dance. Ein besonderes Highlight: Die Älteren bis 16 Jahre können beim Zombie-Make-up-Workshop, der „Prison of Terror“-Chef-Make-up-Artist Sandra Untenberger über die Schulter schauen.

Bekannte Horror-Darsteller im „Alten Gefängnis“

Als Special Guest wird the German Jack, Björn Kuhlow, als Pirat und Freibeuter den Kleinen, aber auch den Erwachsenen von seinen Abenteuern auf hoher See berichten. Nachts tauscht er dann seinen Hut und Gehrock gegen ein Horror-Kostüm und mischt sich unter die Zombies. Neben Kuhlow werden die Fans von Horror-Events den einen oder andere Darsteller wiedererkennen, denn der größte Teil der Erschrecker arbeitet regelmäßig auf bekannten Horror-Events.

Horror verbindet: Ein Gemeinschaftsprojekt

Hinter dem Non-Profit-Event steht ein ehrgeiziges Organisatoren-Team. Die „Children of the Night“ ( http://children-of-the-night.de/ ) unter der Leitung von Reto Gooss, Kevin Jugg, Rebekka Mueller und O BEX Eventmanagement und Veranstaltungstechnik ( http://www.obex4u.de/horrornight.htm ) unter der Leitung von Sebastian Dippe aus Osterholz-Scharmbeck. O BEX veranstaltet selbst erfolgreich seit drei Jahren ein Horror-Event.

Über Children of the Night:

Unter der Leitung von Reto Gooss, Kevin Jugg und Rebekka Mueller sind die “Children of the Night” die Hauptorganisatoren des „Prison of Terrors“ in Bad Säckingen. Beide sind in der Event-, Festival und Konzertorganisation tätig. Das insgesamt fünfköpfige Orga-Team arbeitet selbst seit Jahren als Berufserschrecker auf bekannten Horror Events. .


Über O BEX Eventmanagement und Veranstaltungstechnik:

Die mittelständische, von Tim Schwarzrock und Sebastian Dippe geführte Firma, befasst sich, neben umfangreichen Event-Ausstattungen, Künstler- und Bandbetreuungen, speziell auch mit der Thematik „Horror“ und dessen Umsetzung. Ein Team von mehr als 30 Akteuren, lässt vielen Gästen aus dem Bremer Umland das Blut in den Adern gefrieren. Über Kinder-und Jugendhaus „Altes Gefängnis“ Bad Säckingen:

Das burgähnliche Gebäude des Kinder- und Jugendhauses wurde 1901 bis 1904 gebaut und diente ursprünglich als Amtsgefängnis. In zwei Stockwerken des Hauses befanden sich 15 Zellen, die für ca. 24 Insassen gedacht waren. In den zwölf Einzel- und drei Viermannzellen herrschte aber meist Überbelegung, so dass 35 bis 40 Insassen keine Seltenheit darstellten. Das Gefängnis diente zur U-Haft und zur Verwahrung von Gefangenen mit einer Haftstrafe bis zu drei Monaten. Dies betraf vor allem Delikte wie Bettelei, Diebstahl, Landstreicherei, Betrug, Unzucht, Homosexualität und Abtreibung. Nachdem das Gefängnis im Frühjahr 1970 geschlossen wurde und etwa zehn Jahre leer stand, wurde es vollständig umgebaut sowie renoviert und im Mai 1981 als Kinder- und Jugendhaus wieder eröffnet. Nur wenig erinnert heute noch an die Gefängniszeit, bis auf eine Beruhigungszelle, die sich noch heute im Keller des Hauses befindet. Mehr Infos auf: http://www.altesgefaengnis.de

Horror Event: “Prison of Terror” in Bad Sackingen, Germany

From April 26 until April 28 undead and zombies are going to haunt the over 100 years “Old Prison” in Bad Sackingen, Germany. Scare-seekers await exciting horror attractions on several floors at a real historic horror scene. For the scare seekers to be there will be a Kids Horror on Saturday April 27. At the DJ Decks from 10pm Friday April 26 „The Club Monkeys ( http://www.theclubmonkeys.de/ ), Saturday, April 27 DJ Nick Rivers ( http://www.nick-entertainment.de/ ) und Sonntag April 28 „Children of the Night“.


More than 50 volunteer horror actors from all over Germany will scare visitors in two mazes - "Hell's Cells" and "Dark Circle". Brain hungry zombies will additionally chase their victims on the open space, the so-called "Playground". Doors of the “Prison of Terror” - normally a youth club – open at 7 pm. A break for a breath: Horror fans can relax and dance to the hottest DJ beats at the after horror party in the "Zombie Lounge" from 9 pm till 0.30 am. On Friday with the Club Monkeys, on Saturday with DJ Nick Rivers and on Sunday with the “Children of the Night”.

Kids Horror on Saturday afternoon

This will be the Saturday afternoon for junior horror fans. G-rated zombies and trolls are playing their “Trick-or-Treat” game from 2 until 6 pm. No time to get bored: face painting and a scary flash mob dance will make kids’ hearts leap for joy. A special highlight: Teenage scare seekers up to 16 years can take part in a zombie makeup workshop by "Prison of Terror" chief makeup artist Sandra Untenberger.


Famous horror actors in the “Old prison”

The German Jack, Björn Kuhlow, as a special guest will tell kids and adults of his pirate adventures on the high seas. When the sun goes down he will change his hat and coat against a horror costume and mixes with the zombies. Kuhlow is not the only renown horror actor: Fans of scary events will meet more acquainted horror faces. Most of the “Prison of Terror” cast members are regulars on famous German horror events.

Behind the non-profit event is an ambitious organizers team:The Children of the Night (http://children-of-the-night.de/) headed by Reto Gooss, Kevin Jugg, Rebekka Mueller and O BEX Event Management and Event Technology ( http://www.obex4u.de/horrornight.htm ) under the direction of Sebastian Dippe from Osterholz-Scharmbeck ( Lower Saxony /Bremen ) Since three years, O BEX has been organizing a very successful horror event in the north of Germany.

The Children of the Night under the direction of Reto Gooss, Kevin Jugg and Rebekka Mueller is the main organising team of the "Prison of Terror" in Bad Sackingen, Germany. Both, Gooss and Jugg, are active in the fields: event, festival and concert organization. The five-member organizing team has also been working as horror actors for famous horror events since several years.

About youth club "Old Prison" Bad Sackingen, Germany

The castle-like building of the youth club was built in 1901 to 1904 and originally served as a prison. 15 cells for about 24 inmates have been situated on two floors. A total of 12 single and 3 four-man cells were usually overcrowded, so that 35 to 40 inmates had to stay behind bars. The prison was used for pre-trial detention and the custody of prisoners with a short sentence of up to three months. Offenders were sentenced for crimes such as begging, theft, vagrancy, fraud, adultery, homosexuality and abortion. After the prison was closed in early 1970 and stood empty for about 10 years, it was completely rebuilt, renovated and reopened as a youth club in May 1981.
