Sörgenloch is an Ortsgemeinde – a municipality belonging to a Verbandsgemeinde, a kind of collective municipality – in the Mainz-Bingen district in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany.GeographyLocationThe municipality lies in Rhenish Hesse, some 14 km south of Mainz. It is the smallest municipality in the Verbandsgemeinde of Nieder-Olm, whose seat is in the like-named town. Sörgenloch lies among vineyards in the winegrowing region of Rheinhessen on the Selz and is a pilgrimage site of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Mainz.The landscape is strongly characterized by winegrowing and fruit growing.
