Wood Modification Network

We are engaged with the transformation and modification of wood. Our goal is to develop high-tech and energy-efficient processes, which enable the production of highly sustainable products made of wood. This is an issue with considerable potential for innovation. Our research projects directly relate to, and further develop, application-oriented questions generated by industry and enterprises. We are always looking for new partners from industry and research in the Baltic Sea Region.

We are scientists from different countries of the Baltic Sea Region. The research facilities of our network are currently at Latvian
State Institute of Wood Chemistry, Poznań University of Life Sciences, Uppsala University, Linnaeus University, Swedish University
of Agricultural Sciences, Technische Universität Dresden, University of Tartu and University of Applied Sciences Eberswalde.
The Initiator of this Wood Modification Network is the Professorship of “Chemistry and Physics of Wood” of the University of Applied Sciences Eberswalde in Germany.
