Žižkovská televizní věž - Tower Park Prague

Žižkovská televizní věž je jednou z pražských dominant a se svými 216 metry současně nejvyšší pražskou stavbou. Její stavba probíhala v letech 1985 až 1992 podle návrhu architekta Václava Aulického a statika Jiřího Kozáka.

Tubusy Žižkovské věže nesou tři kabiny. Ve výšce 66 metrů se nachází restaurace, která v současnosti prochází rekonstrukcí. Ve výšce 93 metrů je vyhlídková kabina. Nejvýše je kabina s vysílací technikou.

V roce 2000 bylo na pilíře umístěno dílo Davida Černého zvané „Miminka“ („Babies“), znázorňující batolata lezoucí nahoru a dolů. Protože se setkalo s pozitivním ohlasem, bylo v roce 2001 nainstalováno natrvalo.

Obyvatelé Prahy i její návštěvníci se již nyní mohou těšit na celou řadu nových prvků, které budou v areálu věže realizovány.

V roce 2010 vstoupil do Žižkovské věže nový investor s plány rekonstrukce vyhlídkových plošin a přilehlého okolí. Návštěvníci se mohou těšit na moderní urbanistický design interiérů a technologické prvky.

Observatoř nabídne například videopanely se slavnými osobnostmi spojenými s Prahou a Českou republikou nebo speciální akustická křesla, kde se lidé mohou posadit a zaposlouchat se do zvuků Pražského hradu, metra nebo zvuků Vltavy pod Karlovým mostem. Vyhlídková plošina zůstane otevřena i během rekonstrukce. Změn se dočká také restaurace. Návštěvníci si budou moci vychutnat u dobrého jídla či pití výhled do všech stran a zůstat do noci při poslechu hudby v novém lounge baru.

Pro ty, kdo hledají něco opravdu speciálního, bude připraven hotelový pokoj s nejlepším možným výhledem. A ti, kteří budou chtít strávit nějaký čas odpočinkem, budou moci využít příjemný piknikový areál nebo si zahrát minigolf v Mahlerových sadech přímo pod věží.

Tohle všechno a mnohem víc už na jaře 2012!

Prague TV Tower is one of the Prague´s dominants and with 216 meters it is the highest building in the city. The construction was built during 1985 and 1992 using the design from architect Václav Aulický and static Jiří Kozák.

The pillars carry three cabins. In 66 meters above the ground you´ll find a restaurant, that is currently being reconstructed. In 93 meters then stands an observatory cabin. The heighest cabin carries broadcasting equipment.

There was a piece of art installed on the pillars in the year 2000 called "Babies" ("Miminka") from the artist David Černý. The sculptures shows toddlers crawling up and down the tower. Due to positive reactions of visitors the exhibition was installed permanently.

The visitors of the tower can now be looking forward to many new elements which are going to be realised.

In 2010 a new investor has entered the scene with big reconstruction plans of the tower cabins and local area. Visitors can look forward to a modern, urban design and new technologies.

The observatory will have special features such as video panels with famous people related to Prague and Czech republic, special designed acustic chairs, where people can sit and listen to sounds of Prague castle, city metro or sounds of Vltava river under the Charles bridge. The observation cabin would remain opened during the reconstruction. The restaurant is going to change as well. Visitors would find nice 360 view over their meal or drink and could stay till night to listen to music in a brand new lounge bar.

For those, who are into something really special, there would be a one hotel room with the best possible view. And those, who would like to spend peaceful hour in the neighbourhood, there would be a nice pinic area and minigolf in the park called "Mahleovy sady" right under the tower.
