Zwiefalten

Zwiefalten is a municipality in the district of Reutlingen, located halfway between Stuttgart and Lake Constance. The former Zwiefalten Abbey dominates the town. Until the 15th century the convent succeeded to buy a large territory on the Swabian Jura. However, the peasants looted during the German Peasants' War 1525 the monastery.
