I am currently engaging in the promotion process.

My name is Stephannie Smith, the founder and creator of the Amorphous Revolution in Amsterdam (ARIA). My mission is to create a one-of-a-kind shoe, that is eco friendly and affordable, without any loss of animal life.

I’m very excited about it and I’d like to give you the opportunity to take part in this ground breaking project.

A little Amorphous history...How did all this come about?
After 2 years of research, I stumbled upon the work of George Washington Carver, an American botanist, chemist, inventor, artist, philanthropist and humanitarian."Start where you are and use what you have" is one of his most famous quotes. A less known fact about George, is that he was also an expert in mycology, the study of mushrooms. Mycelium, the dense root structure of mushroom, could be used to create a type of leather. Now this got my attention….

George Washington Carver has been my muse, through whom these shoes are divinely inspired. Enter, the Amorphous Revolution, the only shoe in the world with organic intelligence!

Amorphous Revolution is a conscious shoe line, made from the biological substance Melanin.

Here are some scientific details: Melanin is an amino acid found in all organic life, which stimulates and accelerates the production of mycelium. Mycelium consists of a dense network of interlocking cells, called hyphae. The fungi can break down plant matter and convert these products, while extending its own network of hyphae, and it is the harnessing of this behavior that can be used to create biomaterials.

These biomaterials offer attractive alternatives to traditional synthetics, as they are 100% natural, fully compostable, and can be produced from organic waste streams. And unlike animal leather, mushroom leather is water resistant, which is of course great for shoes!

How are the Amorphous shoes made? Great Question..
Each pair of Amorphous shoes, are made from 100 percent biodegradable vegetal leather, in a top factory by Italian mastercrafters under EU law. A perfect combination of handcrafting tradition, quality and modern style. A shoe you will love!

I place animal and human rights on the same level. I do not see the point of protecting one life and putting another in danger. Therefore, I am excited to partner with “Alive Shoes.’’ They are top designers who work in decent and safe conditions, which command a fair wage.
