Smart Cities need intelligence and technology to increase sustainability and livability. They receive this from specialized companies and research institutes. But B2CI (Business to Cities) is not an easy task since procurement regulations and long time frames for planning & decision making often hinder transactions and focused business development. Also innovation, complexity of solutions and a local context make it hard for companies, investors and cities to run smart city development projects in a “business as usual” mode.
