Berlin Alternative Fashion Week

With a week-long programme of shows, marketplaces, and other events, we aim to promote influential, genre-breaking innovators and connect them with established contemporaries in the fields of fashion, music and art in a context that isn’t constrained or dominated by big brands and labels. It is a fashion week that celebrates non-conformity and one which challenges gender roles and restrictive attitudes in order to give everyone the freedom to choose what they want to wear and to explore new identities and possibilities.

We believe that fashion should be inclusive, rather than exclusive, and that’s exactly what our fashion week proposes; our events give everyone the opportunity to experience the creations of new and independent designers, explore ethical and sustainable ways of buying and sourcing materials, and discover innovative approaches to styling. The designers we are working with have real vision, striving to design clothes that are exciting, innovative, sustainable and affordable, and that celebrate colour and vitality. Our main show, ‘Alchemy’, is the melting pot of this creativity, offering new designers the chance to develop their ideas into something truly sublime in an nonrestrictive atmosphere.

Over recent years, Berlin has gained the reputation as a city that nurtures and supports free-spirited, alternative thinking, which has made it a hub for pioneering, cutting-edge design. We deliver a unique fashion show that is the first of its kind in Berlin, as well as an online platform showcasing interviews, editorials, and fashion shoots from exciting, emerging talents.
