BOX-CLUB - TV Altötting

Since 1979, our unit in the 1864 TV Altötting was organized. Initially, we campaigned under the name of “Karate”, but then upgraded rapidly to a highly successful Kickboxing-Training-Unit with over 400 enthusiasts from near and far areas. We had beginners courses with 140 Persons of both sexes.

In 1987, we also started boxing in TV Altötting. The trigger was the trainer-license from the department head “Gerhard J. Walter”. At this time also, the very popular Women's-Boxing-Gymnastic/Body Styling with over 100 active participants was created long before commercial vendors came on this topic.

In 1995 we focused on boxing and represented this line on competition level up to the present day. Currently about 200 members are registered in the Bavarian-BLSV Amateur Boxing Association. Actively participating in competitions around 25 boys, girls, men and women. With five valid trainer-licenses which we prove in terms of education a top position in Bavaria.

From 1996 to 1998 we were in youth/junior level the most successful boxing team throughout southern Germany, the first Bavarian champion came from our ranks.

In 1999 we introduced the most successful boxer in Bavaria and in 2000 we were the only Bavarian boxing club, who starred in the big leagues.

In 2007 we kidnapped two German championships to Altötting.
The new sport center "BoxingGym" in the former "furniture builder's area", the Box-Club continued under the auspices of the responsible department head “Paul Gut” since 2004 an imperishable monument.

In 2010 Lina Maier landed a double impact last year. She became in the French Calais Vice-European Champion in the women's boxing to 17 years. Just before that she won the International German Championship.

Currently: Lina Maier was nominated in March 2011 by the German Boxing Association for the World Championship in Turkey and finished it with an excellent 3rd place.
