Buschklinik - Projekthilfe Gambia e.V.

(English see below) Der gemeinnützige Verein "Projekthilfe Gambia e.V."/Hattingen finanziert mehrere eigene Projekte der Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe in Gambia. Der Verein hat in Deutschland ca. 50 Mitglieder sowie ca. 320 Förderer und Paten, die diese Projekte über Mitgliedsbeiträge und Aktionen finanzieren. Schwerpunkt unserer Projekte sind die benachbarten Dörfer Jahaly und Madina - südlich des Gambia-Flusses, etwa 270 Kilometer von der Küstenregion um die Hauptstadt Banjul entfernt. Alle aktiven Mitglieder in Deutschland arbeiten ehrenamtlich. Der Verein hat so gut wie keine Verwaltungskosten. 2016 waren es z.B. nur 2,07 % unserer Einnahmen. Das heißt: von jedem Euro kommen fast 98 Cent vor Ort in Gambia an. Ein kleines gambisches Management-Team unseres Schwester-Vereins "Project Aid The Gambia" (Non-Governmental-Organization NGO A57) organisiert die Projekte vor Ort. Die Projekthilfe finanziert, unterstützt und berät unsere gambischen Mitarbeiter, die die Projekte eigenverantwortlich leiten. Unsere Projekte im einzelnen: Die "Buschklinik" ("Jahaly Health Centre") in Jahaly (seit 1991), der "Jahaly/Madina Kindergarten" mit Vorschule (seit 2004), vier Gartenprojekte in Jahaly und Madina (seit 2003), der Bau von umweltfreundlichen Öfen/Herden (seit 2010), die Plantage mit Moringa-Bäumen (seit 2012), der Neubau einer Modellklinik im Dorf Njaba Kunda ("Njaba Kunda Health Centre") auf der Nordseite des Gambia-Flusses (2011/12), Hilfe für schwer kranke Kinder, die in Gambia nicht behandelt werden können und in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Friedensdorf Oberhausen in Deutschland operiert werden (seit 2012). The nonprofit organization "Projekthilfe Gambia e.v."/Germany has been funding several projects in The Gambia. The organization in Germany has got about 50 members and about 320 friends and supporters, who are donating for the projects and doing fundraising events. The focus of our activities is lying on the sister villages of Jahaly and Madina located at the south bank of the river Gambia in a 270 kilometer´s distance to the coastal region with Banjul, the capital of The Gambia. The administration costs of the organization are extremely low, i.e. 2.07 % of our incoming donations in 2016. That means: from every single donated some Euro 98 Euro cents directly go to the people of Jahaly and Madina! A small Gambian management team of our Gambian sister-organization "Project Aid The Gambia" (Non-Governmental-Organization NGO A57) is organizing the projects on the ground. German "Projekthilfe" is funding, supporting and advicing the Gambian employees, who are heading all of the projects. Our projects are: the "Buschklinik" ("Jahaly Health Centre") in Jahaly (since 1991), the Jahaly/Madina Kindergarten with nursery school (since 2004), four women´s gardening projects (since 2003), the construction of eco-friendly smoke-free ovens (since 2010), the plantation of Moringa trees (since 2012), the construction of the model clinic "Njaba Kunda Health Centre" in the village Njaba Kunda (2011/12) located at the north bank of the river Gambia, and the support and surgery of Gambian kids (since 2012), who can not be treated in The Gambia - a cooperation with the German NGO "Friedensdorf (Peace Village) International".
