Centre for International Postgraduate Studies of Environmental Management

CIPSEM is a facility within the Faculty of Environmental Sciences at TU Dresden and responsible for the implementation of the UNEP/UNESCO/BMUB International Postgraduate-Program in Environmental Management for Developing and Emerging Countries.

The target group are environmental experts from developing and emerging countries. Every year, a six-month long course, and three four-week short courses take place. The long course covers a wide range of topics and emphasises links between them. The specialized short courses each have annually changing focus such as soil and land resources, integrated water management, ecosystem management and protection of biodiversity, sustainable cities, resource efficiency including waste management, mobility, energy or climate change.
