Citystay Hostel Berlin

Our reception is open 24hrs, check-in is possible from 2pm. Check-out is at 11am. If you arrive in the early hours, you are more than welcome to store your luggage without any fees.

Please note, we do accept cash as a payment method only!

A parking spot is not available but there are car parks in the surrounding area from ca. 25,-€/day.

From 8:00-11:00 am we offer a breakfast buffet for 5.50€

Our Lobby and Bar is open 23/7 and invite you to stay with little snacks (cakes, pretzel ,sandwiches) and drinks. Besides you are welcome to use our free Wi-Fi access in the whole building.

On behalf of our guests and our neighbours we are asking you to avoid the court yard after 10:00pm and to be quiet during the night due to our guests who want to sleep.

Sustainability: Tourism and sustainability are inseparable from each other. The worldwide CO2 emission is partly caused by the travelers every year.

Us as an accommodation facility we take the responsibility to keep these harmful environmental influences as low as possible.

In our building we prefer to use renewable energy only, water saving measures and the offer of regional beverages which make a contribution to eco-friendly tourism. We take it for granted to use recycling paper and to separate the rubbish.

We can only offer all these things. But each of our guests supports us without knowing it. Through the towel rental at the reception for instance, we do save more than 10x chemical washing in contrast to the general hand out of towels in rooms. Water saving shower heads, a sensor flush in the urinal saves one third in line with the industry standard of the water consumption.

Public transport from Airport Tegel and Schönefeld as well as the central station running direct and make each journey comfortable. Avoid the annoying search for a parking spot.
Most of Berlin’s sights are reachable within walking distance, therefore you don’t really need a car.
To discover the city, we recommend you to rent a bike or to use public transport. Bus – sightseeing line 100 and 200-, Tram, S+U Bahn are just a stroll away to reach.

We do know that it’s only a small contribution towards the environmental protection but we do also know that these small actions are significant to protect our environment and we will include ecological development in the future. We are happy for valuable suggestions.


Charity

Every year Citystay supports cultural and social Projects. This year includes the cultural sector like the interfilm Short film festival (www.interfilm.de), and the Latinale festival (https://www.facebook.com/Latinale/).

Places of interest:

The most important sights are located within spitting distance from Citystay which are the Hackeschen Yards, Alexanderplatz, the Museums Island and the promenade Under the Linden. You can start your sightseeing tour in front of our door starting at the TV-Tower, the Museum Island, the Brandenburger Gate, the 3rd Reich monument, the Potsdamer Platz, the Humboldt University, the State Opera and the “Komische” Opera, the Gendarmenmarkt, Checkpoint Charlie and many more.
Many Museums and Galleries are just within walking distance and the transport connections are convenient.


Nightlife:

The Hackescher Markt and Oranienburger Straße with its Cafés and Bars, Clubs and Cinemas offer a diverse program for everyone and are situated just within walking distance.
Highly recommended in our neighbourhood :VEB Ostzone (OSTalgiebar), Kaffee Burger (Bar/Club “Russiandisco”), Weekend Club (Penthouse Club on the 12. Level), b-Flat (Jazz-Bar) Most Night buses pass the Hackescher Markt in case you want to party farther.
