Droyßig is a municipality in the Burgenlandkreis district, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany.GeographyDroyssig is located about 8 km west of Zeitz.HistoryDroyssig was first mentioned in a document in 1170. Albrecht von Turt made an establishment of a branch (Commandery) of the Knights Templar in 1214, who bore the nickname Droyssig from 1190.
