Professional, fully bilingual freelance translator, working from German into English and vice versa, specialising in science & technology. I have over nine years’ in-house experience translating in a range of fields, although primarily scientific and technical.

Graduate in chemistry and German (BSc. Joint Hons.) from the University of Keele, followed by 5 years in research, including periods working at BASF in Ludwigshafen/Rhein as well as the Max Planck Institute in Stuttgart. My language services also extend to proofreading, technical English training at a range of German companies and private English tuition.

My bilingual upbringing from infancy, my joint honours degree in chemistry and German from Keele University as well as my time spent in research in England and Germany have provided me with a wealth of linguistic and practical scientific & technical skills and knowledge needed to produce accurate, idiomatic technical translations both from German into English as well as from English into German. My experience as a research scientist also taught me to work in an accurate, reliable way, paying great attention to detail.
After gaining essential experience in the translation industry as an in-house translator, I now offer my services on a freelance basis.
As well as completing all projects assigned to me within the deadlines set, I have extensive experience with CAT tools, having used Trados for almost 10 years and memoQ for over 2 years.
