EGU Seismology Division

The EGU offers a well-recognised forum to discuss a large variety of scientific questions and results. Since the impact of geosciences on society has probably never been as high as it is today, we can foster this development by broadening our research topics and opening our fields to wide, interdisciplinary collaborations within EGU. Here, seismology as a discipline is significant, since it contributes to a large variety of both basic and applied fields of research and seeks to answer urgent questions. The Seismology (SM) Division of the EGU therefore wants to strengthen its value further by enhancing the development of static and dynamic models, from acquisition parameters to petrophysical properties, and from geo-models to geotechnical applications. The ability to monitor current events, model the past and make relevant predictions for the future is growing.
