La Cocotte

The French restaurant La Cocotte is located in the heart of the Schöneberg neighborhood of Berlin in a flamboyant Art-nouveau building. An old Plum tree covers up the charming terrace, which invites you to leave the city rumble behind and let you enjoy a little bit of France in Berlin. This not pretentious cuisine is between the classical brasserie style and the very casual bistro. Normandy and the Burgundy influence the menu in winter, but Provence and Basque Country are very present in summer so the whole menu is a kind of “French fusion“. The kitchen favorites are the traditional stews with beautiful names as Boeuf bourguignon (beef stew marinated in red wine) or Jarret d’agneau (tender Lamb chop) or Porcelet à la Corse (a family recipe with piglet stewed in sundried tomatoes, black olives and goat cheese). Next to surprising salads variations and soups , La Cocotte serves also the „must have“ French desserts like Crème brûlée and Mousse au chocolat.
