The basic goal of “Lichtschloss Lychen” is to bring European artists and cultures together and to provide space for communication and development with interest of different ways of dealing with life within EU.
Lychen as location we find suitable for this forum because it provides peaceful surroundings near to one of the European culture capitals Berlin.
We also see that Lychen and it's surroundings will benefit from the project.
As European Culture House we are able to provide such things as bringing organizations together to develop European network of Art and Culture as well as bringing the regional interest into the European context. The building will offer space for all kind of cultural, education and other activities and happenings.


Lychen town is located at the hart of Brandenburg (ex DDR). It is famous for it’s clean air and nature and has long history of being holiday resort for Berliners to rest and recover. Lychen’s population is 3500 and the town has all basic facilities such as supermarkets, shops, bars and restaurants, banks, doctors, etc.
Berlin-Lychen with car some 100km and takes 1,5 hour
Berlin-Fürstenberg train 1 hour
Bus - Fürstenberg 12km, Templin 20km

The former school of Lychen was closed at 2010. In 2013 Kunst vereint Europa took over the building and it was named Lichtschloss Lychen. This highest point of the town located building with light flooded spaces is now growing as local and international Art and Cultural house for artist studios, exhibition spaces, event and seminar venue, museums and workshops, etc.

The building is T shaped and has 32 rooms in 4 levels with garden of ¾ hectar.

Level 1.
Public.
6 gallery spaces in a row. Can also be used for seminars and conferences…

Level 2.
Public.
Mixed use for local culture activities and workshops, Agriculture museum permanent exhibition (partly outside), public restrooms, Library.

Level 3.
Private area.
Artist-in-residence studios, Kitchen, showers & restrooms, internet and office room, dining area.

Level 4.
Private area.
Licht Schloss Lychen & Kunst vereint Europa office, Private studios, Theater room.


At this moment we have the Agriculture museum-permanently staying at the grounds of Lichtschloss Lychen. At the spring the Cinema will open it's doors and upcoming exhibitions are planned for the coming summer. The Artist in Residence Program has been planned to start as well at summer 2014.
