In it is claimed that in 1147 the bishop of Speyer presented the Peterskirche (church of St. Peter) to Maulbronn Abbey, after having purchased it from a local nobleman named Beringer. In the year 1244 Maulbronn Abbey transferred the church to the Domstift of Speyer.1484 the part of Löchgau owned by the Electorate of the Palatinate is exchanged with Württemberg against its part of Ingersheim.
