Longboardshop.eu

Longboardshop.eu is the biggest and oldest Longboardshop in Europe. The owners Martin and Yogi, started to build their first skateboards in the 1970s, when both were still teenagers. These deadly wobbleprone boards consisted of cut apart rollerskates mounted on a piece of wood.

In 1983 they founded their own Board Brand named “POGO” on a farm in Germany, which has ever since been the home of boardproduction and boardshop.

Passionate for Snowboarding, both guys took part in the first Snowboard World championships 1987 and the Snowboard Worldcups in the late 80s and early 90s. Their summer training camp was on the Kaunertal Glacier, which always closed its lifts at 4pm. The remaining hours of daylight were killed by freeclimbing and skating down the legendary steep Kaunertal glacier road (later home of the official IGSA Downhill Skateboard World Championships). Those were the pioneer days of longboarding.

With the birth of the internet in the 1990s, they launched the “POGO Onlineshop” which was renamed longboardshop.eu shortly after the turn of the century. Today the shop employs 5-9 permanents and carries a vast variety of wheels, trucks and decks from many different brands.

The aim of longboardshop.eu has always been to offer longboards of every kind at the fairest rate on the market and to make it possible for every boarder to feel that very sensation and spirit, that Yogi and Martin already felt 30 years ago.
