For those of you who don’t know me (and if you are here, then there is a good chance you do), my name is Marc Gaub, and I am an amateur photographer living in Echternach, Luxembourg, with more than 40 years of experience. My passion for photography grows every second I have a camera in my hand, and my goal is to share my world through my camera with you. I’ve always had an interest in photography, dating back to when I was 7. The first camera I received from my father was an Agfa 6x6. I learned to develop the black and white negative films and pictures at the age of 9 in my father’s darkroom.
In my early days, my passion was taking pictures of landscapes, animals and people.
At the age of 19, I made a 5-week photo safari through Kenia.
My last film camera I used was a Mamiya 645 with several lenses.
I switched to digital photography in 2003, with a Canon EOS 10D DSLR.
As my daughter Sheryl is a passionate agility starter, I began taking pictures on agility events. Also a lot of dog photo shootings have been done during the last years.
I made the official pictures for the Luxemburgish Team at the Agility World Championship in 2015 and 2016.
In 2017, I will be official Press Photographer at the Agility World Championship in Liberec.
Today, I use the following cameras and lenses:
Canon EOS 1DX Mark II
Canon EOS 5DSR
Canon EOS 7D Mark II
Canon TS 17/4.0 Tilt/Shift
Canon EF 16-35/2.8
