Oana Padure Dresses

Hello! My name is Oana Pădure and I am an independent fashion designer with a passion for vintage look. I am a dressmaker who creates beautiful dresses and skirts based on a classical 50's and 60's silhouette.

I was born in Transilvania and gifted from childhood with a humble talent for handmade. I grew up surrounded by the sound of an old Singer sewing machine. That was the sound that first inspired me to sew my first creation at the age of 11. It was a white suit for me and I remember that I was so proud to wear it! In that day I started my great dream – to create and make dresses.

But life offered me something else. I studied literature, theology, learning how to be a great teacher for the new generation. I worked as a marketing manager, as an illustrator/sketcher. But I never given up my dream! That old Singer fascinated me too much and became something magical for my life.

I decided to fulfill my dream and in 2012 I started to collect sewing machine, serger sewing machine, mannequins, fabrics, books and magazines with patterns, sewing projects and techniques. I started to make a plan about making and selling my creations. In 2014 I started a dressmaking course that helped me to put all my ideas into practice. I love working with fabrics!!! I love to put all pieces of fabric and create a unique dress for a unique lady! I collect all kind of fabrics that inspires me to create something special. It is a whole story behind every single dress, behind every single fabric. That makes Oana Padure' s dresses to be so special! !

I spend so much time looking at photos with vintage fashion and I imagine how I can re-interpret the look in a modern style for today's ladies. I consider 50's and 60's dresses very feminine and classy, different than contemporary style. I create contemporary models of 50's dresses, dresses full of vintage grace, but with a contemporary feel.

I believe in making special dresses in which special things happen. When you put on Oana Pădure's dresses, you feel feminine and delicate, but at the same time strong and confident like hollywoodian divas. These are dresses which are all about being a woman and loving it!

I am so happy to meet you here! It is so wonderful to have this marketplace where I can directly meet my clients from all over the world with just a click! I am developing my Oana Pădure brand, hoping to take over the world with it.
