Oktoberfest Sevens Munich

The 39th International Oktoberfest Sevens Rugby Tournament will take place on Saturday, September 30th, 2017, from 09:00h to 18:00h. On the day before (Friday, September 29th, 2017), the Oktoberfest Golden Oldies will take place at our friend's home pitch at Stusta. Since 1978, the Oktoberfest Sevens has been taken place every year. 2017 for the first time, it's held during the last week-end of the world famous Oktoberfest in cooperation with the Munich Sevens, played in the Olympic Stadium nearby.
The tournament is a one-day event with 24 men’s and 8 women’s teams from all over the world taking part. After the preliminary round the tournament will be continued with a cup and plate round for the men and a cup round for the women.
The tournament usually is a very international happening with teams from all over Europe, and also from Australia and the US in the past years. Registration is made on a "first paid, first playing" basis; places are not pre-reserved (except for the winner of the previous year). Once the tournament places are complete, we are keeping a waiting list.
