"project peace - Mein JAhr für die Welt"

Our year long transition program is for young people between 18 and 25 years who are deeply interested in peace, ecology and enviromentally friendly ways of living in our world.
The participants of the project peace are going to study and confront themselves with many topics of peace and ecology and mindfulness as well as sustainable and community living and conscious economy.

We offer a participatory programme meaning that the participants constantly co-create the content for their year, as well as co-fund it. The pedagogical team is facilitating the year and the group processes and prepares the basic structures in order to offer best learning opportunities to the participants.

The project has 3 modules:

Module1: In the end of august, the participants live for three months as a group of 10-15 participants in a community. It is about learning in life and get inspired by experienced people in the area of cultural transformation. We have seminars about peace, gender & love, the work that reconnects (Joanna Macy) and alternatives to the money system. The group exercises in non-violent Communication (Rosenberg) and learns with participatory methods such as OpenSpace, WorldCafe and "The Way of Council". Mindfulness, Gestalt Therapeutic, Nature-, Dance- and Theater pedagogical methods (theatre of the oppressed) are regulary used tools in this modul. Organizing the daily life like cooking and cleaning and community process needs regularly reflection-times. Another important part plays the working and learning at the community we life, such as ecological building, garden-, kitchen and wood work and enough time for the preparations of the "en route- time".

Module2: During the subsequent six months "en route-time" as volunteer in partner projects worldwide they gain experience with other living reality and participate as a learning partner.

Module3: At the end of May they return for 2 months to the german community, where the year creativly ends in a integration process of the experiences they made. Its about being witnessed in personal transformation and growth. This is accombiend with seminars and daily life aspects like in the first modul.
