• Isolation and characterization of human TBG, investigation of microheterogeneity
• Investigation of thyroid cell growth, growth regulation, iodine metabolism, and goiter involution in rats and isolated intact porcine thyroid follicles ex vivo.
• Investigation of the paracrine interaction of thyroid cells, endothelial cells and fibroblasts
• Identification of iodolactones in thyroid cells, investigation of the role of iodolactones on thyroid cell function and growth (in collaboration with Prof. Pisarev, Buenos Aires)

• Investigation of bone metabolism under ovarectomy and cyclosporine in rats
• Clinical trials on transplantation osteoporosis and postmenopausal osteoporosis
• Clinical trials on selenium substitution in severe sepsis
• Clinical trial on the effect of a selenium substitution in patients with autoimmune thyroiditis
• Incidence of autoimmune thyroiditis in PCO patients
• Clinical trial on metformin therapy in PCO patients.
