More about Rotary Club of Parkstone

The Rotary Club of Parkstone was chartered on the 3rd of December 1970, we meets at Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) every Thursday at 6pm with the exception of Public Holidays and the 2nd Thursday of each month.

Rotary is the world’s first service organization. It was founded 108 year ago in Chicago.

Rotary’s main objective is service to the community, in the workplace, and around the globe through fellowship. “Service above self” is what the 1.2 million Rotarians united in 34,000 Rotary Clubs around the world, put to practice every day.

Rotary Clubs are open to people of all cultures, colours and creeds, and are not affiliated with any political or religious organizations but, there is something that all Rotary club members have in common: we take action. As a community of volunteers, we reach out to neighbours in need. We build, we organize and carry out a remarkable variety of humanitarian, educational and cultural exchange programs, that touches people lives, in our local community and worldwide.

The 1.2 million men and women of Rotary, we work locally, regionally, and internationally to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education, job training, promote peace, provide access to clean water to areas that needs it around the world, and eradicate polio, all, under the motto service above self.
