Salon Kennedy operates between the concepts of a traditional commercial gallery and public art institution. Hereby, the focus lies on the cultural production rather than the final exhibition product, creating constant archiving methods; entering and establishing new discourses. A carefully selected program of individual exhibitions, external projects and both verbal and printed discussions, accumulate an ongoing testimony of its contemporary art production. In this sense, the opening does not document the representation of a finished product but is rather seen as the starting point for further development.
