170 years ago in 1841 Samuel Shepheard founded the
“Shepheard Hotel” in Kairo, a refuge for crowned
and uncrowned heads with the attitude to give them
the best service and quality someone could imagine
during that time.
The Hotel gained worldwide fame for its high service standards
and his striving to offer all their guests a perfect stay
in every situation and area.
2004 a small bar in cologne opened its doors, seeing
in the Shepheard Hotel a role model for combining
tradition, high quality standards and modern innovations.
Inspired by their philosophy, design and architecture
we try to combine or recreate old cocktail recipes with
new working techniques, flavors and spirits,
striving to give our guests some new, tasty experiences.
But at the end of the day we promise not to forget that
nothing more counts than a smile on your and our faces.
