Due to the complexity of the flight situation, aerodynamics of helicopters are among the most difficult research areas in fluid dynamics. For a long time, only a few labs had the required capabilities to simulate complex fluid flows involving turbulence.

But now, increasing computational power and leading fluid dynamics applications are enabling break-through innovations also for smaller helicopters or UAV’s. At Sonics Blades, we are enthusiastic about main and tail rotors, fuselages and complete flight systems. Our goal is to contribute to the aerodynamics development and to enable everybody who loves flying as we do to benefit from increased speed, better control and higher efficiency.
