Startup Weekend Women Hamburg

Startup Weekend Women Hamburg is first of its kind in the Hamburg Startup Weekend community. Typically, most startup weekend events have a 70/30 ratio of men to women participants. In this edition, we want to flip that ratio and create an event focused on promoting women entrepreneurship in Hamburg without excluding male participants.

Like all Startup Weekend events, this one also follows the same basic model: anyone is welcome to pitch their startup idea (either in German or English) for 60 seconds, and receive feedback from their peers. Teams organically form around the top ideas (as determined by popular vote) and then it’s a 54 hour frenzy of business model creation, coding, designing, and market validation. The weekends culminate with presentations in front of local entrepreneurial leaders with another opportunity for critical feedback.

Special note: We will have child care facility (free of charge) run by professional and experienced babysitters at our event space, so that mompreneurs can participate for the weekend without a worry.
