TEVA Muscle Academy

The overarching idea behind the Leatherman Workout is to honor one's nature. This idea also articulates with the philosophy of TEVA Muscle Academy in general. Teva - Hebrew for "nature" - reflects the belief that one should enjoy, take care of, and celebrate one's natural body. In the documentary Tom of Finland: Daddy and the Muscle Academy, Tom makes one remark in particular that inspires every step of the plan: "I wanted to make them as natural as possible." It is also pointed out (by another voice) that "with Tom's characters, you could believe that they could exist; they were just perfections of type." The emphasis on remaining believable and relatable inspires the exercise selection, program design and methodology, and how I interact with to my clients. The Leatherman workout is an extension of this philosophy, and my hope is that it will be a tool to provide positive reinforcement for those who want to look and feel comfortable (or even fantastic!) in their own bodies.
Ultimately, the services offered by TEVA Muscle Academy are intended to give back to and support the community. My goal is to build a boutique training service that caters to the Lifestyle and provides a sanctuary in which the body can be celebrated and nurtured. Especially for those who are transitioning or who don't feel comfortable in their skin, the result of the Leatherman Workout should be taking pride in and having fun with the body that one has.
