The Quest

Hey! Is there a cure for cancer right under our noses? That is a theme of a new documentary being filmed in US, Poland and Germany about the life of an eminent scientist.

“The Quest,” commenced filming in the library of a country house some 50 kilometres from Warsaw, the Polish capital, in the last week of July. In his own words, the film tells the story of American microbiologist, Howard Urnovitz, and his 45-year search for a cancer cure.

The brainchild of co-helmers Andrzej Miekus and Will Richardsson centers one of the most remarkably inspiring scientific stories of the last half century.

Howard Urnovitz made a promise to his mother on her death bed in 1972 that he would find a cure for cancer. Now in 2017 his research suggests that both treatment and detection of the disease can be monitored by blood tests with a control of cancer perhaps not far off.
