UB-SPACE

We are the Team UB-SPACE (University of Bremen - Image Processing for Determination of relative Satellite Motion) and our Experiment will fly on the REXUS 21/22 campaign in spring 2017.

The REXUS programme allows university students to carry out scientific experiments on sounding rockets. These rockets reach an altitude of about 90km. During the flight the experiments can be carried out in microgravity.

Our Experiment will deliver series of images, showing an object similar to a moving uncooperative target satellite in a realistic environment, with associated measured data, which can be used for determination of the relative movement of the two objects.
This images and data can be used for developing and verifying systems for determining the position of objects and tracking objects in space.
