Westerhausen (Thale)

Westerhausen is a village and a former municipality in the district of Harz, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Since 1 September 2010, it is part of the town Thale.Nature conservationThe parish of Westerhausen lies in the landscape protection area of Harz und Vorländer .Part of it belongs to the following nature reserves : Harslebener Berge und Steinholz .The Seggen- und binsenreiche Nasswiesen in Helsunger Bruch are a protected biotope .Natural monument area sites are the Acker Helmstein, Alte Torfstich im Helsunger Bruch, Königstein , 189 m NN, and Hirtenwiese .Others are the Dalgenberg, Kuckucksberg and Kleine Kamel .
