Yuka Yoga

Yoga has been around me since young age, my mother practiced for some years but as I was a young gymnast at the time, I thought of yoga as just another form of physical exercise.
Yoga really came to my life back in 2003 where I started practicing in a home environment during my round the world trip, by following a book on yoga. Even Though I only taught and practiced by myself initially, the yoga practices have given me an insightful experience which opened my eyes completely.
I started going to regular classes in various schools of yoga to trying find what suits me the best. In 2004I started study with Dave Charlton and Sylviane Gianina who follows the teachings of Sri T Krishmacharya.
After some years, following my curiosity and thirst for more knowledge on yoga, I decided to take on a training course.
I have completed 4-year Professional Yoga Teaching and Therapeutic Healthcare Training Programme under the teaching of Paul Harvey who was a direct student of TKV Desikachar for 28 years.
I am currently studying yoga with Leila Smith.

I teach yoga using breath, movement, mindfulness and sound using viniyoga as a tool within yoga.
I encourage students to work within their capabilities with variation and modification when necessary.
