Projekt Interkulturelle Öffnung von Outlaw

Die Outlaw Kinder- und Jugendhilfe betreut in Sachsen Kinder, Jugendliche und Familien aus über 30 Ländern (europäische, asiatische, persische und arabische) mit vielfältigen kulturellen, religiösen, ethnischen und sozialen Hintergründen, Voraussetzungen und Lebensgeschichten. Die pädagogische Arbeit mit ihnen erfordert interkulturelle Kompetenzen und Kenntnisse über Gesetze, religiöse sowie kulturelle Besonderheiten, Kompetenzen im kultursensiblen Kinderschutz und der Gesundheitsfürsorge.

Im Rahmen des Projekts "Interkulturelle Öffnung" erarbeitet Outlaw in Sachsen dafür gezielte Maßnahmen, um die pädagogische Arbeit mit Kindern und Jugendlichen aus anderen Kulturräumen zu erleichtern.

Aufgaben:
- Entwicklung einer interkulturellen Fortbildungsreihe
- Erarbeitung mehrsprachigen Informationsmaterialien
- Akquise und Bindung von Fachkräften mit Migrationshintergrund

Interkulturelle Fortbildungsreihe:
Seit Oktober 2016 bietet Outlaw in Zusammenarbeit mit externen Anbietern interkulturelle Fortbildungsreihen in Sachsen an. Zur Umsetzung kooperieren die Projektmitarbeiter*innen mit externen Kooperationspartner*innen, die u. a. die Fortbildungsreihen durchführen und mehrsprachige Unterlagen erstellen. Hintergrund:
Die Outlaw gGbmH bearbeitet seit Juni 2016 das Thema "Interkulturalität" in Sachsen. Dies beinhaltet einerseits die interkulturelle Wissensvermittlung an interne Mitarbeiter*innen für ihre pädagogische Arbeit. Andererseits sollen die erarbeiteten Maßnahmen den jungen Menschen und ihren Familien aus anderen Kulturräumen das Leben im neuen Umfeld erleichtern.

Das Projekt „Interkulturelle Öffnung“ wird vom Land Sachsen und von der Landeshauptstadt Dresden gefördert und ist an alle Mitarbeiter*innen der Region Sachsen gerichtet.

Outlaw Child and Youth Services cares for children, youths and their families from over 30 countries (in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and North Africa) in Saxony – our clientele comes from a variety of cultural, religious, ethnic and social backgrounds, all with unique situations and life stories. Our educational work demands intercultural know-how and knowledge about legislation, religious and cultural distinctions as well as expertise in culturally sensitive contexts of child protection and healthcare. Within the project “Interkulturelle Oeffnung” – intercultural orientation –, Outlaw in Saxony is developing targeted measures to ease educational work with children and adolescents from other cultural backgrounds.

Tasks:
- Development of an intercultural training program
- Production of information materials in multiple languages
- Acquisition and integration of professionals with an immigrant background

Our goals:
- Imparting intercultural skills
- Developing interculturality as a vital foundation of Outlaw’s basic concepts
- Networking with other active figures in intercultural contexts

Intercultural training programs:
Since October 2016, Outlaw has offered intercultural training programs in Saxony in cooperation with external service providers. To accomplish this goal, Outlaw employees have been working closely with external professionals to conduct training programs and produce information materials in multiple languages. Background
Outlaw gGmbH has been working on the topic of interculturality in Saxony since June 2016. On the one hand, this means imparting intercultural skills to internal employees for their educational work. And on the other hand, the project is intended to ease the life of young people and their families from other cultural backgrounds in their new environment.

The project “Interkulturelle Oefnnung” receives funding from the Land of Saxony and the City of Dresden and intended for all employees in the Saxony region.
